Historical Strengthening

This listed barn was a shell that needed some local strengthening with new steel plates. The first floor was also required to be independent from the timber frame. Steel posts and masonry piers were designed to support this. Additionally, a large fire place was designed with a reinforced concrete slab to support the heavy structure above.
