Alteration & Underpinning

The grade 2 listed building, was run down and in desperate need of repair and use. The school were also looking to expand and offer a facility for children over the age of 19 and for adults as there is no other facility in the area like this. The building houses a gym, plunge pool sauna, art room, computer room, games room, and café.

Structural Changes

This includes; Underpinning, steel frame integration, supporting double height walls, strengthen old 2nd floor to meet modern office loading requirements. Also required was a glass lift shaft, waterproof concrete lift pit and internal ramps on all floors for disabled access. The new build was constructed away from the original listed building.
