A new dormer window was added to this maisonette flat to make the most of the outstanding views across the downs. The upper floor was also converted into an open plan living/ dining room and clever hidden designs made best use of the available storage space. The structural challenge to position the steel beams without much manoeuvring space was achieved using splice connections.
